About Me
Hi, my name is Parnika Khanna, and I am the founder and president of ProspHer Finance. Since I was a little girl, I grew up with multiple women in my life who were victims of different variations of domestic abuse. Initially, as a kid, I always wondered why they wouldn't just leave. But very quickly I realized that their lack of financial independence and knowledge not only propelled the emotional and physical abuse they endured, but it also served as the padlock of the door they could never open and leave through. Witnessing the effects of this phenomenon firsthand instilled within me a deep understanding of the sheer importance of female financial literacy. It also brought a fundamental appreciation and gratefulness for the fact that I was born into a life where I was privileged enough to receive a thorough financial education thanks to the sacrifices of the many women before me. This is why I do what I do, to help prevent even one little girl from falling into the same fate as the previous women I talked about would genuinely mean the world. Even among those who are privileged like me, many women don't take advantage of this opportunity because they perceive finance to be an intimidating male-dominated sphere, which speaking from experience, it totally can be. So I made it my personal duty to mitigate that by creating an inviting and informative female safe space.
Our Mission Statement
At ProspHer, we are driven by an unwavering commitment to transform the financial futures of young girls. Our mission is to ignite an economic revolution, equipping girls with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to navigate the complex and often intimidating world of finance. We firmly believe that the key to a brighter and more equitable future begins with financial literacy. In a world where financial decisions profoundly impact every aspect of life, we recognize that girls must be equipped to make informed choices, seize opportunities, and chart their own destinies. Our purpose goes beyond the ordinary. We are dedicated to breaking down the barriers that have historically hindered girls from achieving financial independence. We foster a supportive community that encourages curiosity, questions the status quo, and engages girls to step into a predominantly male-dominated space. In a culture that tells girls to marry a rich man, we make it our personal duty to encourage girls to become their own ´rich man´. While we work hard to enrich our community, we specifically target underserved and underrepresented areas, not only in the New Jersey area but in other countries as well. Did you know, that up to 99% of domestic violence victims experience economic abuse during an abusive relationship, and finances are often cited as the biggest barrier to leaving an abusive relationship? We work to mitigate these kinds of issues along with many others, and you can too! Together, we can create a world where financial literacy is a birthright, and every girl has the power to transform her life and the lives of those around her. In a world where financial literacy is a cornerstone of empowerment, our unwavering commitment is to redefine the future for women globally. We are driven by the conviction that financial understanding is not merely a skill; it is the key to unlocking boundless opportunities.
